MDX555 - Hybrid Turbocharger
For all single scroll Subaru Imprezas.
This hybrid turbo is designed to be a bolt-on upgrade for all single scroll Subaru Imprezas. Turbos come complete with a 2-year warranty and a full fitting kit included in the price.
The MDX555 Hybrid Turbocharger supersedes our famed MD555 Subaru turbo and comprises the same specification with the added benefit of a billet compressor wheel upgrade. The various specs on offer are proven to produce power levels from 400bhp.
- Hybrid Turbos specially designed turbine housing to replicate exacting tolerances of original IHI housings along with improved airflow for better spool and power figures.
- Hybrid Turbos designed, special forged billet compressor wheel offering improved strength, lighter weight and improved flow over standard cast items.
- Garrett Ballistic Concepts dual ball bearing CHRA.
- Hybrid Turbos specially designed compressor cover featuring standard or fly-by-wire outlet with 79mm Ported Shroud inlet to maximise airflow.
- 1.2 bar actuator fitted as standard, Turbocharger fully blueprinted to motorsport standards.
- Recommended maximum boost level is 28-30 PSI.

This hybrid turbo benefits from Turbo Dynamics own design billet aluminium compressor wheel. Billet compressor wheels offer significantly improved strength and durability over the original cast aluminium wheels, they are also up to 20% lighter, a lighter compressor wheel will spool quicker, reducing turbo lag and allowing for improved response.
