ZIRCOTEC CERAMIC COATING
Turbo Dynamics offer Ceramic Coating technology for turbochargers, turbocharger related components (i.e. manifolds, exhaust headers, exhaust downpipes, external wastegates) and more. Turbo Dynamics have partnered up with Zircotec.
Ceramic Coating minimises heat transfer from parts such as the exhaust manifold and the turbocharger. This reduces under bonnet temperatures and protects heat-sensitive components.
By reducing under-bonnet temperatures, Ceramic Coating also reduces the temperature of air entering the engine via the inlet manifold, giving a denser charge and more power! Ceramic coating is a popular option for many of our customers as, by reducing air intake temperatures, it offers increased engine performance. It also reduces ‘turbo lag' or ‘spool' time by keeping the turbine inlet gases hot.
Ceramic Coating has been proven to:
• Reduce under-bonnet temperatures by up to 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit), as independently measured & confirmed by DAMAX Race Engineering.
• Reduce surface temperatures by 33%.
• Increase engine performance, eg. a 30 degrees drop in intake air temperature can deliver a 6% increase in power.
• Extend the life of vulnerable components and thereby enhance engine reliability.
Colour Options
Ceramic coating is available in a range of 14 colours to complement engine detailing, silicon hoses or vehicle body colour to enhance any under bonnet installation with a great look and true performance.
The Performance Colours™ range is the Zircotec proprietary range of high-temperature quality finishes for our ThermoHold® based ceramic coating, suitable for exhaust coating applications as well as a range of other applications.
